On Thursday, September 13, 2012, we launched our first line of camera straps at (SUB) URBAN during the downtown Los Angeles Art Walk. Proceeds from the sale of the camera straps will benefit Las Fotos Project, a nonprofit, community-based program empowering young Latinas through photography, mentorship, and self-expression.
The camera straps – designed exclusively for this collaboration with Las Fotos Project – feature a ‘90s-inspired, gold chain with black, reinforced d-rings that easily attach to any DSLR or analog camera. The lookbook for the LSD Fashion Lab camera strap was created by two Las Fotos Project photographers; Jessica Peregrino, age 15, and Carly Bravo, age 15, both mentored by fashion photographer, Sophia Alvarado.
